Andrew Joe and the Rainbow Seekers are probably my favorite surprise find on bandcamp. Their albums have a familiar sound to me, child of the 90s, and at first that was all I noticed, before I started to sink into Terra Incognita. It's much more mature than that, both lyrically and musically, with a perfect mixture of some incredible hooks and experiments that are (in my opinion) hugely successful. Listen, find your new favorite jam. Favorite track: Trying To Break Your Heart.

neosean99 I love this band, but there's something about this album that makes me keep coming back. Hometown specifically... I was thrilled to be able to see these guys live at Summer Camp. They are amazing all around! :) Favorite track: Hometown.

The Garden 03:10
The Garden you are a garden, flowers in bloom sewn like a quilt, double stitched in truth you are the nest, from which i flew you are the one thing, i still let fall through your body has been lost, but i still hear your song you’re a rain over the land that keeps the river moving on you pulled away the flashlight, and took our hands from our eyes you're the fertile ground of death that’s showing signs of life even though we think we are so strong holding tight to the world and an image of ourselves but there's a raft in sight and it's been there all along but you're not alone, cause you only need a heart to find a home your body has been lost, but i still hear your song you’re a mountain to the land that tells the time to move on you showed us how to let go, and how to honor times long past you showed us how to hold on and to accept that nothing lasts even though we think we are so strong holding tight to the world and an image of ourselves but there's a raft in sight and it's been there all along and you are the one thing, i still let fall through

Your Story 04:02
Your Story drunk and drenched in southeast chicago, having conversation with the calumet you jumped right in and like an old steel barge and sank like an industry that came and went as you rose to the surface you pondered your purpose trading gazes with skyscrapers staring down you asked them their names and they groaned and they quaked like sleeping sentinels waking up this is your story these are your scars don't you ever forget who you are for when it gets heavy for when it gets hard don't you ever forget who you are out on the sand, the feeling was sober you left god in the wake by the shore you stood yourself up, you were naked and nameless but in losing foundation you grew ever more you fueled your own furnace, when you spoke they all heard it like lightning at the edge of a storm every word was a wave, every thought was a cave that bore through every mind that came before bridge/build they don't know you like we know you you are not the one to blame this is your story these are your scars don't you ever forget who you are for when it gets heavy for when it gets hard don't you ever forget who you are

Hometown 04:26
Hometown i walked alone among the streets of my hometown as the night eased on the ghosts rose from their graves they followed me, and pulled the sleeves of my jacket and i tried so hard, but could not remember their names i know i lost when the rain washed away the sidewalk chalk i know regret cause it's staring at me in the place that i left it i don't wanna let you down i swear that some day i will return home you believed in me i wanna bring you home, i swear to god i grew from the leaves cause you were always sunny i wanna be the one to hold the sun to bring you home to lift you up, oh man we're waiting for superman, waiting for superman i don't wanna let you down you’ll always be my home town you were the place that wrote my story and gave love so long before me i don't wanna let you down you’ll always be my hometown i must be a ghost cause i’m still feeling something i must be a ghost, cause i came back running this place, i love, i’ve had enough it’s the kind of place to write a story of don’t wanna let you down you’ll always be my hometown

Captain America captain america, everyone is wondering where have you gone you rode past in your cadillac, straight path to a funeral home half staff flag on the starting line, to wave you on empty casket in the back, cause america's only got so much love i'm sure you know all my people put in on the table baby we been working hard from 9-5 and we’re making love, in america, can you feel the sun, from where you stand at least i’ll have some friends in hell captain america, everyone is living out the dream that you sold the good lord, he wouldn't touch it, resulting in an apple to grow he stood on a podium and spoke a tongue that none could perceive they all nodded their heads, in agreeance, and signed on the line and swallowed the vial, to cure the dreamers disease all my people put in on the table baby we been working hard from 9-5 and we’re making love, in america, can you feel the sun, from where you stand at least i’ll have some friends in hell you stood on a podium and spoke a tongue that none could perceive they all nodded with outstretched hands, in line for the american dream all my people put in on the table baby we been working hard from 9-5 and we’re making love, in america, can you feel the sun, from where you stand at least i’ll have some friends in hell you know, we all want the spotlight you know, we all succumb to change cause we’re making love, in america, can you feel the sun, from where you stand at the end of my days i hope i can say that i gave my love to everything and everyone, to all the things that i have touched believe me now

Betelgeuse 04:55
Betelgeuse a man sat under a tree for twenty years to try to still the world and when he opened his eyes skyscrapers stood beside him when i look at the sky at night i feel bigger than the sun the stars look down upon me and i'm high as hell and a little lonely but at least i know where life came from and one night, when i watched closely a star died in the night its ashes spread around me while the dark of space had found me but at least i knew, where i came from i had known that i'd found the end cause where death hides is where life begins and i looked for god, but i only heard the wind and i saw life… i took flight i saw, the universe inside, between the space of two eyes when i look around me i see that we're all made of stars their eyes will gaze upon me a carbon haze surrounds me as time disintegrates i know i am everything one night i brought my lover and when i looked into her eyes i saw the universe expanding while our bodies were quaking and collapsing and then i knew where life begins i’d known that i had found the start in a moment's’ breath i had made my mark and i looked for god between the paces of your heart and i found life, i took flight i saw, the universe inside, between the space between two eyes

King Is Dead 03:33
the king is dead he ran out of secrets now the days are cold but we still got love, its all we hold the king is dead so i’m sipping on daniels let my mind get old might as well kick back, now the sky is closed there's so much to talk about cause where will we stay there's so much fear in the great unknown in the end of our days i got my reasons for leaving, i will find my own way might not have god to believe in i'll only leave love in my wake the king is dead fell from heaven through a hole in the clouds and when i looked through i saw nothing beyond i picked up his ashes i planted a seed inside and when the color cracked on through the walls i saw god for the first time there's so much to talk about cause where will we stay there's so much fear in the great unknown in the end of our days i got my reasons for leaving, i will find my own way might not have god to believe in i'll only leave love in my wake
10.
the place we lived became who we are when the future didn’t seem so far we tore down the walls but didn't leave because home isn't always what it seems the buildings grow when the city sleeps while we ignore the things that grow beneath we can pull our hands over our eyes cause with a sun so hot why not be blind in the night on the forest floor i watched you drown beneath root and thorn your hair became the grass upon the ground forlorn old life uncharted, land unexplored when the buildings grow and the city sleeps will we become what lies beneath when the time is right, and my body leaves in my place, new life will breathe
11.
your river's run dry bones mark where you lay it was never explained history has gone by washed out by the rain happens every day at the end of your day you're proud of the life you lived the best thing to ever happen to life is death i think that’s what you said with every end there is a beginning ‘cept no one's ever found the start and when the gods laid their eyes upon it they had a change of heart a change of heart in a cold, white hospital bed green is turning to fall frost kisses your face no two will be the same the world turns us all and gives us a place though it’ll always change with every loss there's someone winning but in loss is where we start like a seed amidst the wreckage loss can plant a human heart it can plant a heart in a warm white hospital bed life, you got nothing on me
12.
Red Wings 04:36
just keep laughing it off they left you standing in a cold place they left you standing in the dust, oh no i can only imagine what you went through when you sold your faith for luck you walked around under the shadows and the fog their bony fingers always covering their eyes they kissed your lips and put a bag over your body but you never let them bury your mind just keep laughing it off do you believe me now i know it's to believe in anything you are the fire that should have gone out but got bigger and stronger in the wind and a spark still burned on and one by one we all caught fire with concentrated love don't fear the shock, just grab the wire you are beautiful and strong, don't let anyone tell you otherwise the gods are singing all your songs, you can see it in the evening sky when you had nothing you had it all and you never gave up anything except for overflowing love like a detroit angel with red wings
